Repeat shoplifter charged and remanded to court

The City Centre Neighbourhood Police Team arrested a prolific shoplifter targeting Sports Direct in the Arndale Shopping Centre on Saturday the 6th of September.

The male was taken to custody, questioned and later charged and remanded to court today. 

The City Centre Neighbourhood team is determined to tackle shoplifting and retail crime head-on, working closely with businesses, community partners. Our proactive approach includes regular high-visibility patrols, engagement with shop owners and staff to ensure swift action is taken against offenders.
